　　周中耀，男，号素心斋主，生于1945年，湖南**沙人。现为**美术家协会会员，**画家协会***，长沙理工大学客座教授。
　　数十年来，周氏致力施工笔花鸟画的研究与创作。早在八十年代，周氏已凭着精湛的技巧，引起了海内外美术界和收藏家的关注。
　周氏作品追求天趣自然、充满生气，线条精微、律如乐韵，画面明快亮丽、光影交融，空间深遂、层次重重，富神秘感、耐人寻味，既保留了传统工笔花鸟画恬静、典雅的特点，亦结合了现实生活的体验及时代的审美意识。
