경의Ⅰ(Homage l)
작품 제목: 경의Ⅰ(Homage l) (1) 경의Ⅰ 레너드 헌터 http://www.busanbiennale.org/sub01/05_fix.php?no=4986amp;cat_no=1002amp;seq=101410amp;type=2amp;year=2006amp;type2=3amp;type3=amp;page=1경의Ⅰ철에 의한 구조물을 통해 자신의 작품세계를 펼치는 작가이다. 이번에 설치한 높이 10미터의 작품은 한국을 방문해 여행하면서 관찰한 지형과 문화에서 영감을 받아 제작했다. 부산시를 병풍처럼 두르고 있는 산자락과 그 산맥의 골격을 추상화하는 한편, 특별히 신라의 금관을 비롯해 조선시대 남성들이 머리에 쓰던 관의 여러 종류와 형태에 주목했다. 철제 구조는 건축적으로 서로 지지하며 서있는데, 그것들이 각각 이루는 각도가 형태의 다양한 변화를 야기한다. 따라서 우리는 작품의 주위를 돌면서, 보는 각도에 따라 미묘하게 변화하는 그 모습을 즐길 수 있다. 작가는 작품두개의 철 구조물 사이에 나무를 심어, 문명과 자연의 서로 뗄 수 없는 관계, 그리고, 그 두가지 요소가 함께 하는 문화의 풍요를 강조하고 있다. While traveling, he was inspired by the topography and the culture of Busan. In this ten-meter high structure, the artist abstracts the hillside and mountain range that surrounds Busan. He observes the gold crown of the Silla period, as well as many other kinds of coronets for men in the Josun Dynasty.
